GRENKE financing – operating lease for hospitality furniture

AG VEBO, in cooperation with GRENKE, offers an operating lease for furniture used in restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels and catering. We prepare the quote from the financial statements of your company or sole trader business, in most cases within one working day.

What you can include in the lease

You can lease garden chairs, indoor chairs, bar stools, banquet chairs and lounge sets, as well as garden, indoor and bar table bases and tables and folding tables. The lease can also cover sun loungers, parasols and patio heaters, Catering ZOWN furniture for mobile catering, and furniture for hotels – the reception, bar and restaurant and rooms.

Who the lease is for

An operating lease is available to companies and sole traders. It is useful when fitting out a new terrace or venue, refurbishing an interior, adding seating capacity before the season, and when buying catering and event furniture that is replaced more often.

Advantages of an operating lease

  • Terms of up to 5 years – you use the furniture immediately and pay for it over time.
  • Fixed monthly instalments – costs are known in advance and easy to plan.
  • VAT paid as you go – VAT is charged on each instalment and is input VAT for the lessee.
  • The furniture does not sit on your balance sheet – under an operating lease it remains the property of the lessor, so the lessee does not report it among its assets and liabilities; the equity ratio and the gearing ratio are not affected.
  • Deductible expense – monthly instalments are normally treated as a business expense.

Three options at the end of the term

  1. Purchase the furniture at a value agreed in advance.
  2. Extend the lease on the same furniture.
  3. Return the furniture and start a new lease on new furniture.
