Description: Bard L is a modular sofa for hotel rooms, lobbies and lounge areas. It is made up of seat modules, backrests and cushions of different sizes, joined by connectors that clip between the wooden frames on the underside. The backrests can be moved between elements, so the same set can be arranged as a corner sofa, an extended sofa, a four-seater with two armchairs or a bed. In a few moves it converts into a double bed, which is useful for occasional guests. Because the elements are separate, they can be rearranged or extended with further modules when you move or the room changes, without replacing the whole sofa.
Configurations: The same elements can be arranged into five configurations: corner sofa 364 × 201 cm, extended sofa 427 × 113 cm, four-seater with two armchairs 251 × 113 cm, corner sofa 314 × 226 cm and bed 226 × 226 cm. Because the product is handmade, dimensions may vary by up to ±3%.
Materials: The frame is made of CNC-machined plywood, and the seat is upholstered with several layers of hybrid foam, a silicone wrap and an inner layer of black felt. Handmade in the EU. The covers are fully removable and machine washable at 30 °C, and are also available separately for later replacement. Several fabric groups are available (among others Calidad, Dahlia, Velare, Mollia, Alure, Icon, Phoenix and Astra) in 48 colours. The product is intended for indoor, dry and heated spaces; place it on a level surface and at least 1 metre from heat sources.
Certificates: The materials used come from certified sources. The wood-based panels used in the product are tested to CARB ATCM Phase 2 and EPA TSCA Title VI, US regulations that limit formaldehyde emissions from wood-based panels and set maximum permitted indoor air emission levels. The polyurethane foams are certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, product class I, the strictest class of the harmful-substance testing system, covering products suitable for babies and toddlers. The cover fabrics are certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, product class II, which covers products in direct contact with the skin. Part of the collection is made from recycled polyester obtained from used PET bottles; the fibres are certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS 4.0), which verifies the recycled content as well as traceability and the social and environmental requirements across the entire supply chain. The fabrics comply with the European REACH regulation, which governs the registration and control of chemicals on the EU market, with regard to substances of very high concern (SVHC).
