Lunar table base at dining height, four steel rods on a 42 x 42 cm footprint, steel mounting plate, epoxy-polyester powder coatingDescription: The Lunar table base is the supporting part of a table, to which a tabletop of your choice is fixed; the top is not included. It is built from four slim steel rods that spread downwards from the mounting plate and form a stable 42 x 42 cm footprint. The open shape keeps the base visually light and leaves guests enough legroom, which matters in cafés and restaurants with closely spaced tables. A base of this height is intended for dining and café tables and takes tops up to 80 x 80 cm or 80 cm in diameter. The Lunar range is also available in a lower version for coffee tables and at bar height, which takes tops up to 70 x 70 cm or 70 cm in diameter. The base is intended for professional indoor use.
Materials: The base consists of four steel rods 12 mm in diameter, electro-welded to a 210 x 210 mm steel mounting plate onto which the tabletop is screwed. The whole base is protected by an epoxy-polyester powder coating that resists scratches, impact and moisture and is easy to clean. It is available in several coating colours. For maintenance a soft cloth with water and a mild detergent is enough; do not use abrasive pads, abrasive cleaners, solvents or chlorine-based products. Design by Pio and Tito Toso.
Certificates and standards: The base is intended for contract use in hospitality and hotel premises. Tables for non-domestic use are covered by EN 15372, which sets the requirements for strength, durability and safety of tables together with the test methods, among them vertical top loading, horizontal loading and the stability test under edge loading. Since the base and the top are tested as an assembled table, compliance depends on observing the maximum permitted top size for this base. Available manufacturer documentation is provided on request.
