HEATING HOTELS AND LARGER BUILDINGS WITH A KRONOTERM HEAT PUMP

The development of Kronoterm heat pumps dates back to 1976; we manufacture heat pumps for heating buildings and water, heat pumps for heating swimming pools, cooling systems for cooling machines, and refrigeration units for cooling wine. The company also provides the implementation of demanding heating and cooling systems using heat pump technology.

We also provide servicing of heating and cooling systems throughout Slovenia, with fast response times for all kinds of professional repairs and maintenance work.

In addition to numerous residential houses, we have also equipped many tourist and hospitality facilities with heat pumps for heating and cooling: Celje Outdoor Swimming Pool, Ambient Hotel Domžale, Lenart Retirement Home, Terme Ptuj, Terme Lepa Vida Sečovlje, Hostel Zrće, Hotel Evropa, Pokljuka Sports Center, Kattus-sparkling wine production, Hotel Punkl, Hotel Cristallo; we have the largest heat pump in Slovenia – with it grows the most famous Slovenian tomato (heating, cooling, and use of wastewater), and many others.

Case study: Hotel Cristallo in Livigno – Italy
This is a modern and dynamically furnished hotel with 25 rooms, placing great emphasis on the use of quality materials. The hotel is occupied all year round. Water was heated with gas, and the annual energy cost was around EUR 3,000. Due to the need to reduce costs, they decided to install three 450-liter sanitary heat pumps S-Max, connected together in a cascade. This allows them to use up to 1,750 l of hot water at 40° C at one time. The water can be heated up to 80 °C, thus meeting anti-legionella requirements. They are very satisfied with the new solution; they reduced electricity consumption costs by more than 3.6 times, and they now amount to EUR 764 per year. Additional cost optimization is enabled by controlling the heat pump via the Cloud.Kronoterm application. There they can set operating schedules, as the frequency varies greatly by day and consequently so does hot water consumption.
